Hey… I’m baaaaack, again!

Hey buddies!~

I’m back to BuddySlim… why not? It’s the new year, and time to get back AT it! I lost 70 lbs and then just went to maintaining. I only JUST realized that I’m exactly half-way to my goal… whoo-hoo! So, let’s get on with it and actually CONSIDER a bikini for the summer!

How’s everyone doing? How are you living through the holidays? It’s tough, I know… here are some inspirations:

1) This food will still be here AFTER I reach my target weight.
2) Drink water, have an apple or two… then see if you still NEED that treat.
3) I want to be slim MORE than I want that treat!
4) If I don’t watch my figure, neither will anyone else!
5) Have 1/2 and walk away (if you MUST).
6) HOW LONG will I have to be on the treadmill to lose THAT?
7) It’s not a treat if you have it all the time!
8) You can’t add to the JUNK that has been in your body!
9) Losing weight will make me feel MUCH better than that treat!
10) Is it a WANT or a NEED? Eat to live… don’t live to eat!

What was that other one… ??? Oh, yeah, (from Arnold Swartzenegger… or however you spell that), “Always be a little bit hungry! Eat to take the edge off of your hunger… and you will slim right down.”

Well, that’s all from me for now. I’m SO GLAD I haven’t gone nuts and eaten back my 70 lbs weight! Thanks to Dr. Marc and his OMG Fat Loss diet, I’m changed. I don’t think I will EVER eat (again) like I did before! I now have the keys to weight loss… thank GOD for Dr. Marc!

Bless you all! Merry Christmas and a very happy new year!

Hi Folks… I’m still alive~

Hi all~

Well, I’ve been a bit naughty, so my weight loss has slowed down. I have NOT gained back any weight (thank GOD!) I’ve had all the foods I’ve been slobbering over and guess what… they just don’t taste as good any more! I’d much prefer a peach or two (or five) than the slop I used to eat! I’ve gotten sick off of the old stuff.

Lots has been going on in my life, too. My son came home to visit, from college. We had a good visit. I’ve started back to work, as a substitute teacher, so exercise has been hard to fit into the schedule. Still, I’m more than pleased with the progress I’m making. Everyone says how much better I look. It’s true, health-wise, I’ve REALLY set the clock back! I weigh about what I weighed in our second year of marriage! Amazing!

Next, I have to get back on the diet wagon. While I’m at it, I may as well lose the rest of the weight I need and want to lose. I will never be the same, again. Thanks to Dr. Marc, I have the secret of controling my weight. Again~ thanks Dr. Marc… you’re awesome!

I’ve lost 60 lbs in (about) 3 months!!! Thanx Dr. Marc!

Hey everybody!

OK, REALLY it’s been 3 months and 1 week! Still, that’s a great accomplishment in just (about) 3 months, right? I’m not sure if I told everyone this, but I met with the doctor last week… and he’s going to try to wean me off of ALL my meds! YIPPEE!! There you have it. This isn’t just a random goal we all have! We are trying to save our lives! Would you like to know the secret to my success? It’s simple… Click on OMG Fat Loss and check out Dr. Marc’s diet! It’s worked miracles for me! It really has! It makes good, logical sense, as well! I’ve followed it closely and that’s how I’ve lost the 60 lbs. Good luck, all! And, Thanks, Dr. Marc!

Hey everybody!

I may be thick (and I probably am!) but ,when I first started here, I didn’t realize that this whole wonderful, FREE site is the brain-child of Dr. Marc Lawrence, who is a REAL doctor! He has a program called OMG FAT LOSS… and it really works well! I should know, I’ve been following Dr. Marc’s program since April, and I’ve already lost 53 lbs. (in 3 months)! The funny thing is, when I first joined (January of 2009) I DIDN’T know about Dr. Marc’s program… and my weigh loss efforts fizzled! NOW, I really know that I can do this AND I know exactly what I need to DO to reach my goals! I tell EVERYONE about Dr. Marc and his amazing program.

Now, we have the chance to help folks through Facebook! Please go to your Facebook account, search “OMG FAT LOSS” and you will get to Dr. Marc’s page. Please “Like” him, so he can spread the news more broadly! It only takes a few minutes but you’ll be helping save the lives of other obese people who need the help (like me!)

If you haven’t already bought Dr. Marc’s books and program… I URGE you to! His ideas will truly change the way you eat… and your body will slim right down. I’m not kidding. I’m not a paid advertiser. I’m just a person that this has REALLY worked for! That’s why I believe in it so much! I had been hospitalized twice with weight-related problems. Now, I’m looking to leave the meds behind and get on with a happier, healthier life. I think I’d given up on thinking I could ever manage this… and I couldn’t, ALONE. Knowing what I know now, I wish it was a gift I could have given myself years ago! So please, take the time to “Like” OMG FAT LOSS and help others gain sanity in their dieting!

Thanks so much! ames :0)

Still hanging in there…

Hi all!

I have stayed on track for the OMG weight loss program. ONLY ONCE have I had something that was more than a ONE… and that was ONE portion of chips I had last week. They just looked and smelled so yummy! Well, that’s out of my system and I’m back on track! This week, I weigh 202.8~ish. The lowest I’ve been this week was 201.6!! However, I had loads of fruit the other day and that put a pound (of water) back on… so, I wait for it to drop back off. I’ve been swimming and working out on the treadmill. Dr. Marc says, “Diet gets the weight off, exercise keeps it off.” I don’t know about that. It seems the more I exercise, the more weight drops off. My hubby heard what Dr. Marc said and he said, “Oh, yeah, that seems about right.” Still, I don’t know. Anyway… it’s working! All the effort, and I’m down 50 lbs, since I met Dr. Marc nearly 4 months ago! Everyone, hang in there! :0) ames

Vacation Blues…

Well, I went to a church conference… everyone was supposed to bring cookies. So there were cookies… lots and lots of cookies, all kinds of cookies. Some looked tasty, some looked nasty. NONE were on the diet. What did I do? I went to a local store and bought fresh baby carrots (35cal/85g = .4) and blueberries (80cal/140g = .57). I snacked as much as anyone else, but I was keeping on diet. During the meals, instead of going to the buffet, my hubby and I went grocery shopping and kept Greek Yogurt and fresh veggies on hand. For lunch, the second day, we ate at Subway. I had a turkey sandwich with LOTS of veggies! (280cals altogether) When I got home, I had GAINED TWO POUNDS!?! This was SO defeating!

What’s worse, we were home long enough to check on things, then turned around for a 3-day weekend out of town (more vacation). I was SO UPSET about the 2 lb gain, I was determined to do MUCH better. I made sure the hotel had an exercise room… and I worked out for 1 hour, each day. I ate salads. I DID NOT GO TO THE BUFFET!!! (This was hard to pass up! …but I was still so angry that I didn’t DARE go near it!) When I got home, I found I had only lost ONE of the two pounds I had gained. ARGH!!! I was so upset, I said, “to heck with it” and had a HUGE meal, a total pig-out, on ALL ONES (or less). I had a whole plate of lettuce and spinache (fresh). On another dinner plate, I had scrambled fake eggs, tomatoes, and cottage cheese. My weight went up to an extra 5 lbs!

The good news is: I went to the bathroom A LOT the next day. I also exercised quite a bit. By the end of the day, the scale shows I’d lost all the extra weight… and I’ve been losing weight ever since! YEAH~!

Start to Week 8… 213.6 :0)

Hi everyone!
Special THANKS to Dr. Marc… you are becoming a household name around our place! It’s all “Well, Dr. Marc says…” and “I wonder what Dr. Marc would say…” and “According to Dr. Marc…” I had my hubby watch some videos, so he could meet “the other man” in my life! Well, wouldn’t you know, he was PLEASED to meet the person he’s heard SO MUCH about (and from)??? It’s funny, I’ve lost 34 lbs (in 7 weeks) and hubby has lost 20!!! I cook the way Dr. Marc tells me to. We buy groceries according to Dr. Marc. So, when hubby is hungry, he’s only got ONE (or less) food to choose from! :0) We LOVE spinach salad!! Mmmmmm and tomatoes!!! My very favorite meal is Fat Free eggs (in the box = .5) scrambled, with Fat Free Cottage Cheese (70c/116g = .6) and tomatoes (22c/100g = .2)… this is ALL under ONE and all very, very tasty!!! :0) I highly recommend it! Add some fresh spinach if you like, too! It only helps! I have “pigged out” (filled to capacity and then some) for the past few days, on salads and my scrambled eggs/cottage cheese/tomatoes…. and I just keep losing weight!!! Thanks, Dr. Marc! You are awesome! :0)

The Secret to My Success…

Hi all!
Thanks for so many wonderful comments about my last post (”6wks… already?”). Some have asked how I’ve managed to lose 34 lbs (as of this morning). Well, go to Dr. Marc’s page and click on his link for the OMG Weight Loss Program. You could probably Google it, too. Dr. Marc doesn’t just say, “Here’s the secret to eating cheeseburgers and milkshakes and losing loads in minutes!” (others will lie to you, but not Dr. Marc. He’s the real deal! It’s not “just common sense” either… his method works because he’s worked with lots of people who have lost, on average, 66 lbs and KEPT it off! Dr. Marc DOES appeal to common sense, as well as science, so I found myself drawn in to what he had to say. He was running a deal (I’m not sure if that is still on)… but it’s ALL a great deal, if it really works~ and it DOES!!! I have spent far more on Zumba and Alli but those haven’t worked. The more I’ve read and thought… and tried… the more Dr. Marc’s program REALLY WORKS!!! What’s more, I haven’t starved myself (for quick water loss) nor done the “cleanse” thing (which also has short-term quick water loss). NOPE! I eat, I’m fully satisfied, I”M NOT KIDDING! And the weight has just dropped off! So, check it out, order it for yourself, and write me back to say, “I did the OMG thing… and YOU”RE RIGHT!!! IT REALLY WORKS!!!” :0)

Week 6… already!?!

So… it’s week 6 on my diet! It’s actually been 20 days since I met Dr. Marc. What have I accomplished in 6 weeks? Well, I went from 250 lbs to 216.4 (today!) That’s 33.6 lbs OFF!!! I’ve lost a preschooler!!! (In weight, NOT in real life!) The bummer is: I really can’t see it. I was looking at my “before” pic and comparing it to today… I suppose my clothes look a bit more baggy. I KNOW that my favorite shorts used to stay on without tying the draw-string. Now, they HAVE to have the strings tied, to stay on. What’s more, I keep tying the strings and they seem to be getting longer and longer! I guess that’s something.

As for the last few weeks, here’s the update. I had a really bad headcold, so I missed about a week of exercise. It seems I just stymied in my weight loss, for that week. However, I’ve been doing loads of swimming… which is really nice and relaxing (and easy on the joints)! I highly recommend it to anyone.

I have also been following Dr. Marc’s OMG Weight Loss plan. I think it’s working VERY well. I can see why it works AND it makes sense! I recommend that to everyone, too! I have been telling my friends and family all about it. Hubby has REALLY noticed the change that he is making. Soon, he and I will have to buy all new clothes! :0)

Best and blessings to everyone out there! Hang in there, everything you do will help you get to your goal! :0) ames

Hi everyone!
Here’s my new week two! I weighed in at 222.2 this morning. I’m not going to update my ticker because it says I last updated it two days ago. Still, I’m steadily losing about a pound a day +/- a little. Tonight, I had my favorite TUNA SALAD!!! I took 1T of Fat Free Ranch dressing and diluted it in 50/50 water, then added one tsp of mustard. Once these were mixed thoroughly, then I chopped up 2 pickled and added a can of tuna (packed in water, drained). All mixed together and eat… delish!!! This Tuna Salad is a ONE on Dr. Marc’s thing.
Today, I did 200 sit ups and then an hour on the treadmill. I went to the pool and was swimming by 3:00… until 5:30. I got out, dried my swim suit and put it back on, under shorts and a tee-shirt… then off to Zumba for 40 min. At 6:30, I was back in the pool for 45 minutes of water aerobics. Then home, to eat my tuna salad and PASS OUT!!! I’m really dedicated to getting this weight loss jump-started. I have my eye on the day I can ease back to “maintenance” rather than weight loss! All the while, I am telling myself that I will NEVER let myself get this bad, again!
And here’s a quick word about how I got so bad… I KNOW stress is a huge part of the weight I’ve gained. Not caring about myself or my body is another huge part of it. I have been eating all I want whenever I want… and I found myself STARVING all of the time! Now, I eat FAR LESS, and it’s all ONES on Dr. Marc’s plan… and I’m never as hungry as I was before, when ALL of the time was SNACK-TIME! Go figure! My exercise plan was: avoid exercise at all cost! Then add to that the health problems that came up, and that would top off the explanation! I was hospitalized with 2 pulmonary emboli (I got them at the same time, when DVT–a blood clot– from my leg broke off and landed in my lung). The worst of the PE was a clot that was half the size of my heart and sitting right outside of my heart. I was told NOT to exercize until that clot had been broken down by Coumadin. 3 years later, however, I was still not exercizing (and it was probably high time I did!) I also had a problem, with blood-thinner, that once a month I was losing loads of blood and becoming anemic! So, 2 years ago (this July) I had a total hysterectomy. For the first year, I was having trouble doing most things, tired and sore from the surgery. I found, if I TRIED to sit up, I would feel the burn across the mid-section. Well, that’s all healed up… so the time is right to get to work! This would explain how I am SO motivated to get on with this!
And on I’m getting! I have been careful to restructure what I eat (in keeping with Dr. Marc’s plan) and I’m putting myself through “boot camp” type exercise, in the hopes that I will gain the heath and strength that exercize provides!
That’s all for now! Blessings to all who attempt this stuff! :0) ames
